BOX OFFICE HOURS

The campus box office is located in the lobby of the Theatre Arts building on the south west corner of the Monterey Peninsula College campus. campus map

The campus box office is opened Wed. - Fri. 3:00 - 7:00 PM
& 2 hrs. prior to all performances.

On performance days the box office will remain open through the first intermission. 

* Please note that we are often unable to answer the telephone during the 30 minutes immediately prior to curtain, as we are helping those in line to pick up Will Call tickets or purchasing tickets at the window.


PERFORMANCE TIMES AND PRICES

Performance times may vary for Special Events and non MPC Productions. Standard performance times for Main Stage and Studio Theatre productions are:

MPC Morgan Stock Stage / Studio Theatre (non Storybook)
    Thursday Evenings begin at 7:30 PM
    Friday Evenings begin at 7:30 PM
    Saturday Evenings begin at 7:30 PM
    Sunday Matinees begin at 2:00 PM

MPC Studio Theatre (Storybook Theatre productions)
    Thursday Evenings begin at 7:00 PM
    Friday Evenings begin at 7:00 PM
    Saturday Matinees begin at 3:00 PM
    Saturday Evenings begin at 7:00 PM
    Sunday Matinees begin at 3:00 PM

We strongly encourage you to check with the
Box Office 831-646-4213 if you have any questions about curtain time for a specific performance.

  • Parking for the theatre is in parking lot B or C
  • There is a passenger drop off circle in parking lot B, on the North side of the theatre building.
  • Daily campus parking permit is $2.00
  • Parking enforcement is in effect from 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Thursday and till 5 PM on Fridays. The fine remains at $25.
  • No parking permit is currently required after 5 PM Friday, or on Saturday's and Sunday's.

Through the generous support of local organizations such as The Yellow Brick Road Benefit Shop, The Monterey Peninsula Volunteer Services, The S.T.A.R. Foundation, the Jim Tunney Youth Fund, and the Farrell/Allen Fund of the Community Foundation we offer numerous ways for K-12 students to experience theatre at little or no cost.

CSUMB Alumni: Receive $3.00 off each Adult/Full Price ticket when showing your CSUMB Alumni Card.  - not valid for non-MPC Theatre Arts events or Special Events

MPC Staff/Faculty: $12.50 (limit 2 per Staff/Faculty member). - not valid for non-MPC Theatre Arts events or Special Events.

 

All Discounts are off the full price (ADULT) General Admission ticket.

To receive the discounted/promotional price, any offer must be mentioned at the time of purchase.  Refunds can not be given once the tickets have been issued.  All discounts are offered on the full price General Admission tickets, and do not apply to special engagements, fundraisers, or non MPC Theatre Arts department events.  Discounts cannot be "stacked", one discount per ticket.

From time to time other discounts may be available through channels, such as Groupon®, Daily Deals®, Living Social®, Facebook, or Twitter. These discounts are special promotions and can only be purchased through the offering distribution channel.


FLEX PASSES

FLEX Passes are valid only during the calendar year that the were issued.  All Flex Passes expire on December 31st.  After this time they have no value.

FLEX Passes may be used for any MPC Theatre Company offering.  Flex Passes are not valid non MPC Theatre Company events (i.e.  Dance Concert).

FLEX Passes are not physically issued.  This makes it possible for you to redeem them by telephone or email, without the need to return a physical document to the Box Office.

FLEX Passes once redeemed for performance ticket (s) may not later be cancelled.  You may always exchange for another performance of the same production if your schedule should change.

FLEX Passes must be reserved through the campus Box Office.  Once we return to campus you will able to walk up the night of the performance and use you Flex Passes provided seats are remaining.

FLEX Passes are not limited. We routinely sell more Flex passes then could be redeemed for any single performance.  We know that not everyone will attend every production, so its not an issue.  It is recommended that you make reservations early and not wait unit closing weekend to request tickets.  


BOX OFFICE POLICIES

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE THEATRE?
We recommend you arrive thirty minutes prior to curtain; especially if you have tickets at Will Call.

LATE SEATING - MAIN STAGE
We make every effort to ensure that performances begin promptly. Latecomers will be seated at the House Manager’s discretion, and may have to watch from the top of the rear of the house until intermission.
As a courtesy to our other patrons, latecomers may not always be seated in their ticketed seats once the performance has begun. Patrons who exit the theatre during a performance may not re-enter until intermission. This is a policy we enforce without exceptions, for the safety and courtesy of our actors and audience members.

LATE SEATING - STUDIO THEATRE
We make every effort to ensure that performances begin promptly. Latecomers will not be admitted to the Studio Theatre.  If there is a scheduled intermission patrons may be admitted at this time.  Patrons who exit the theatre during a performance may not re-enter until intermission. This is a policy we must enforce without exceptions, for the safety and courtesy of our actors and audience members.  Patrons arriving late will not receive any refund or ticket exchange privileges.

TELEPHONE ORDERS
There is no additional service fee on charge by phone purchases for MPC Productions, if you want your tickets held at Will Call.  There is a $3.00 per order service charge to have your tickets mailed.

NON-MPC THEATRE ARTS PRODUCTIONS, RENTALS, & TICKETS SOLD FOR OTHER EVENTS.
MPC Box Office often provides ticketing services for non department events. For these events there is a $1.00 or $2.00 per ticket service charge whether you purchase tickets online, in person, or by telephone. There is also an additional $3.00 per order service charge to have your tickets mailed.

REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY
All sales are final, and there are no refunds. If you are a Subscriber/Flex Pass holder and the tickets in question were purchased as part of a package/series, they may be exchanged for another performance of the same production. Otherwise, if at the last minute you are unable to use your tickets, you may turn them in as a donation to MPC Theatre Company. The value of the donated tickets is tax-deductible and acknowledged by mail. In accordance with Internal Revenue Service   Tickets for past performances cannot be considered a donation.

PERFORMANCE RELATED CHANGES
All performances and events, artists, dates and times are subject to change.

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS
Issues related to ticketing or seating must be filed with mpcboxoffice@mpc.edu within 72 hours following the ticketed performance.

PHONES AND PAGERS
Cellular phones and pagers disrupt performances. Please turn them off or leave them with the house manager before the performance.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY
(Including cell phone camera images) and sound or video recordings are prohibited during the performance. If you are caught taking pictures or making recordings, you will be asked to delete all such files in front of a staff member.
